Now I’m not one for trends and there are lots of trends next year that I’m personally a little unsure of, such as red or black wedding dresses, puff sleeves and even capes. I think for your wedding day it’s good to remain timeless and in style so that you won’t look back at your photos and feel a little dated.
But there are some trends that I think are perfectly stylish and time-tested that just convey “utter class”. Here are my favourite 2018 trends that will continue to appear timeless…
You can’t beat a plunge neckline for a bit of sex appeal, but not too much! Deep v-necks add a touch of sensuality and allure to a traditional look. I adore the look of our beautiful Beatrice gown and one of my personal favourites is the elegant lace-adorned Tula.
Sparkle never truly goes out of fashion, does it? As long as it’s done tastefully, you can never have too much. My personal favourite is a stunner that’s just arrived in store from Justin Alexander. With a beautifully hand beaded off-the-shoulder top and an elegantly ruched bodice, Clemence is flattering and eye-catching in equal measure. One of my true favourites has to be Seraphina. A beautiful blush coloured gown with the most divine beaded bodice, you couldn’t make a better entrance!
Back detail doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. Plunge backs, beaded backs, hem to hairline buttons or utterly backless, it’s a guaranteed breath-stealer when you’re at the front saying your vows. Everybody loves a backless beauty and the gorgeous gowns with back detail just keep coming.
Fuller gowns are back with wow factor. I’m not talking puffball eighties throwback, more silver screen glamour goddess. My favourite is perhaps the eternally elegant and slightly off the shoulder Grace which has a fitted body and a full skirt in a beautiful luxury organza material, showcasing a timeless silhouette.
Sheer detail adds a hint of sex whilst remaining elegant and beautiful. I adore the back detail of Justin Alexander Delphine. This gorgeous gown has a beautiful sheer Sabrina neckline with Venice lace overlay and a showstopping illusion back and 1930s style slinky Charmeuse skirt.
